Oh Cousin Mike,

Thanks for the mention in your blog post. I will always have in my Gawlikowski / Wlecialowski research binder, as the first page, a print out of my introductory email to you upon finding you online dated 7 July, 2006 which began: "Hello Mike, I saw your post on Rootsweb.com mentioning that you are related to the Adam / Antoni Gawlikowski family. I am daughter of Edward S. Gawlik(owski), son of Adam and Rose Gawlikowski, who lived on Fairchild Rd. in Chesterfield Twp. MI....."

And the rest is history.

Agreed, it was a Bonanza. It was an amazing rush to find you online and the feeling only intensified as we exchanged family knowledge, documents, and pictures -- ultimately through our collaboration we debunked the family story from our parents that the Gawlik and the Eliasz families were "just good friends."

---

Cousin Kim! Thanks for visiting my blog (1st time?) and commenting. The "pair-genealogical" research we did collaboratively was an amazing example that enriched both of our family trees.
