We definitely intersect on St Anthony in Toledo. My family was from Campbell St; Although other ancestors lived on Avondale and Buckingham among others.

sw. Marcin is a miss for us, because mine is in Pacanow (not Poznan). As for Bernice’s baptism. I have actually spoken to (Fr. ?) Peter Uebberoth, an archivist for the Toledo Archodiocese and he verified that Bernice was not baptized anywhere in Toledo. You are correct that my grandparents through Toledo would baptize on the day of perhaps within the 1st week of birth.

When I say immediately, I mean they moved with a few days of Bernice’s birth to Detroit. Hence why I think Bernice was baptized in Detroit given the Toledo Archvist’s statement.

Perhaps sw Marcin in Poznan. I have many maternal relatives from Gluszyna who left in the late 1870s or early 1880s. Can you say for certain that Bernice was not baptized in Toledo? It was rare that Catholic parents during that time didn’t baptize within a few days of birth. It’s possible Bernice was baptized in a nearby parish and there were several: St. Stanislaus, St. Agnes, St. Hedwig, St. Adalbert, and a few others were just a few miles apart. St. Stanislaus might be a good target–it is only 2-3 blocks from St. Anthony.
